PRL manufactures aluminum storefront systems and entrance doors for commercial, institutional, and selected residential applications. Our systems combine durable aluminum framing, flexible glass configurations, and clean architectural profiles for interior and exterior projects.
PRL storefront systems are available as complete units designed to simplify fabrication and installation. They can be configured for retail storefronts, office entrances, institutional buildings, mixed-use developments, and other projects that require reliable aluminum framing and integrated door solutions.
Complete storefront units are available with lead times as short as two weeks. Standard storefront stock lengths can also be prepared for next-day shipping, subject to availability and project requirements.

Aluminum Storefront
PRL aluminum storefront systems are designed for commercial entrances, retail façades, offices, institutional buildings, and selected residential applications. Available in center-glazed and offset-glazed configurations, the systems can accommodate monolithic glass or insulating glass units, depending on the selected series.
Each system can be customized with compatible entrance doors, hardware, finishes, and in-house aluminum extrusions to meet specific project dimensions and performance requirements.

Thermally Broken System
Thermally broken storefront systems are designed to reduce heat transfer through the aluminum framing, helping improve interior comfort and support the energy-performance goals of exterior commercial projects.
PRL manufactures five center-glazed and offset-glazed storefront series, with thermal and non-thermal configurations available depending on the selected system. An extensive range of extrusions, entrance components, and glazing options allows each system to be adapted to different architectural and performance requirements.
Storefront systems can be configured with monolithic tempered or laminated glass, as well as insulating glass units, depending on the series and project specifications. Complete pre-glazed units are also available with the required framing, doors, hardware, and related components to simplify coordination and installation.

Series
PRL aluminum storefront systems are available in center-glazed and offset-glazed configurations to accommodate different glass types, frame depths, and project requirements. Depending on the selected series, the systems can support monolithic tempered or laminated glass, as well as 1-inch insulating glass units.
Standard storefront stock lengths are available in 24-foot sections. PRL’s in-house extrusion capabilities also allow custom lengths and profiles to be produced for project-specific conditions.
250-Series (2" X 4½” Center Glazed For 1" Glazing) Thermal & Non-Thermal
The 250 Series is a center-glazed storefront system designed to accommodate 1-inch insulating glass units. Its 2-inch × 4½-inch frame profile and 1¼-inch glass pocket make it suitable for exterior storefronts and entrances that require greater glass capacity and optional thermal performance. Available in thermal and non-thermal configurations, the system includes a broad selection of compatible extrusions and accessories for different opening conditions, entrance layouts, and installation requirements. Entrance doors can also be adapted to the system with a dedicated filler insert. The 250 Series offers a practical option for projects that require insulating glass, commercial entrance compatibility, and flexible storefront fabrication.

The mock-up specimen for testing was a flat wall specimen, nominal one (1) story high, consisting of a 4 1/2″ deep, center glazed, aluminum window wall system, measuring approx, 10´ wide by 10´ high (3 lites wide by 2 lites high).
Compliance Statement: Results obtained are tested values and were secured by using the designated test method(s). The samples tested met the performance requirements set forth in the referenced test procedures for a +1676/-2873 Pa (+35/-60psf) Design Pressure with missile impacts corresponding to Missile Level D and Wind Zone 3 for a basic protection rating.
251DT Series (2” x 4 ½” Offset Glazed) Thermal & Non-Thermal
The 251DT Series is an offset-glazed aluminum storefront system designed for exterior applications that require improved thermal performance. Its double thermal strut construction helps reduce heat transfer through the frame while supporting commercial entrance and storefront configurations. The system is available with a range of glass options, finishes, handles, and compatible entrance components, allowing it to be adapted to different architectural and project requirements. Depending on the specified configuration, the 251DT Series can also be incorporated into selected curtain wall applications. The system consists of five primary cross-sections and uses a urethane thermal break designed in accordance with NFRC 101-2020 requirements. A continuous silicone gasket is installed around the interior and exterior perimeter of the frame.

- This thermally broken, anodize aluminum, offset-glazed, double thermal strut system consists of 5 cross-sections. This series can also be used in curtain wall systems.

400 Series (1¾" X 4" Center-Glazed For ¼" Glazing):
The 400 Series is a center-glazed aluminum storefront system designed for standard commercial applications. Its 1¾-inch × 4-inch frame profile accommodates ¼-inch glass within a ½-inch glass pocket. The system can be used for interior and exterior storefronts and is compatible with standard aluminum entrance doors, hardware, and single- or double-acting door configurations. Interchangeable components support both shop and field fabrication, providing flexibility for different installation conditions. For projects with higher structural requirements, the aluminum extrusions can be reinforced based on engineering and project specifications.

The 450 Series is a center-glazed aluminum storefront system developed for exterior applications that require a deeper frame profile and enhanced performance compared with standard storefront configurations. Its 1¾-inch × 4½-inch frame accommodates ¼-inch glass within a ½-inch glass pocket. The system is compatible with standard aluminum entrance doors, hardware, and single- or double-acting door configurations. Interchangeable components support both shop and field fabrication, allowing the system to adapt to different project and installation requirements. Where additional structural capacity is required, the aluminum extrusions can be reinforced according to engineering specifications and project conditions.

Available configurations include single and double doors, along with narrow-, medium-, and wide-stile options. Depending on the selected system, doors can be fabricated to accommodate monolithic tempered or laminated glass, as well as insulating glass units.
PRL’s in-house fabrication capabilities allow entrance doors and storefront framing to be produced as coordinated systems, helping reduce compatibility issues between components and simplify project installation.
Center-glazed and offset-glazed framing options are available across the storefront series, with thermal and non-thermal configurations offered according to the selected product. Standard and custom dimensions can also be produced based on project requirements and system limitations.
PRL offers aluminum storefront stock lengths for commercial and architectural applications, with standard and custom options available to support different framing layouts, opening dimensions, and installation requirements.
Standard stock lengths are manufactured in 24-foot sections using 6063-T5 aluminum alloy. A selection of finishes is available for interior and exterior storefront applications, allowing the framing to coordinate with entrance doors, glazing systems, and surrounding architectural elements.
PRL’s in-house extrusion capabilities also support custom lengths and project-specific profiles when standard framing dimensions do not meet the required conditions. Stock lengths can be supplied for shop fabrication or coordinated with complete storefront packages, depending on the scope of the project.
Available framing components and accessories vary by storefront series, glass configuration, and performance requirements.
