PRL’s aluminum storefront Series offers high-performance, durability, and energy efficiency systems for commercial and residential use. Available in center-set and forward-set glass configurations, they support insulated and monolithic glass and can be customized with in-house extrusions.

Thermally Broken System
Thermally broken storefront systems are becoming a preferred choice for commercial projects due to their superior thermal insulation and energy efficiency. These systems help regulate indoor temperatures by reducing heat transfer, creating a more comfortable and energy-efficient environment.
Engineered as fully integrated storefront solutions, our entry systems offer impact resistance, durability, and optimized thermal performance. PRL manufactures five series of center- and offset-glazed storefront systems, along with an extensive selection of extrusions to accommodate various architectural needs. To further improve energy efficiency, clients can opt for tempered glass or insulated glass (IG) units.
Our aluminum storefronts are delivered as complete, pre-glazed systems, including all required hardware and materials for a smooth and efficient installation process.

PRL's aluminum storefront series offers presents two distinct glass configurations: a conventional center-set glass and a forward-set glass, designed to accommodate both insulating glass and monolithic annealed/tempered glass. Our storefront stock lengths come in standard 24 ft. lengths and with our in-house extrusion capabilities, we can create custom lengths to meet your specific requirements.
250-Series (2" X 4½” Center Glazed For 1" Glazing) Thermal & Non-Thermal
The 250 is a versatile and budget-friendly center-glazed system, purpose-built to seamlessly incorporate 1" insulating glass. It boasts a comprehensive selection of extrusions and accessories, meticulously designed to accommodate a wide range of job conditions, ensuring adaptability and efficiency. Our 250 glazing system is available in 2" x 4½" sections, featuring a 1 ¼” glass pocket width. Notably, entrance doors can be easily customized with a dedicated filler insert tailored specifically for this advanced glazing system. This design flexibility, combined with its economic advantages, makes the 250 an ideal choice for various architectural applications.

The mock-up specimen for testing was a flat wall specimen, nominal one (1) story high, consisting of a 4 1/2″ deep, center glazed, aluminum window wall system, measuring approx, 10´ wide by 10´ high (3 lites wide by 2 lites high).
Compliance Statement: Results obtained are tested values and were secured by using the designated test method(s). The samples tested met the performance requirements set forth in the referenced test procedures for a +1676/-2873 Pa (+35/-60psf) Design Pressure with missile impacts corresponding to Missile Level D and Wind Zone 3 for a basic protection rating.

It represents an industry-standard center-glazed system, seamlessly accommodating all standard entrance door hardware and door types, including those with single or double-action door hardware. This system accepts ¼" glass within a ½-inch glass pocket width, providing flexibility for both shop and field fabrication. Additionally, the extrusions can be reinforced to meet more demanding performance requirements, ensuring durability and adherence to rigorous standards.
