SOUNDPROOF LAMINATED GLASS

Laminated glass is one of the most effective solutions for sound control and noise reduction in modern buildings. By incorporating a special acoustic interlayer between glass plies, Sound Control Glass significantly reduces sound transmission while also offering UV protection and enhanced safety.

PRL manufactures acoustic glass, soundproof glass, and sound resistant glass using advanced lamination technology, allowing precise control over thickness, configuration, and performance. Our state-of-the-art 96” x 153” lamination line enables fabrication of sound control laminated glass with overall thicknesses up to 3 inches, suitable for demanding commercial and residential projects.

At PRL, all sound control laminated glass is produced in-house, allowing us to deliver custom acoustic glass solutions with some of the fastest lead times in the industry. Our lamination capabilities support a wide range of glass types, including:

Annealed glass
Heat-strengthened glass

PRL’s Sound Control Laminated Glass is manufactured using a special acoustic PVB interlayer designed for high-performance noise reduction. This advanced interlayer technology targets a wide range of sound frequencies, improving overall acoustic comfort in interior spaces.

When combined with insulated glass unit (IGU) configurations, PRL’s acoustic glass can achieve exceptional sound reduction levels, making it suitable for applications often associated with soundproofing windows and acoustic windows, while remaining a glass-based solution, not a window product.
